CIVICA Certificate of completion in Advanced Academic Skills

The CIVICA Certificate of completion in Advanced Academic Skills in the Social Sciences and Humanities recognises the competencies and skills of early-stage researchers (PhD and postdocs) through their participation in CIVICA’s training activities.

It is delivered upon completion of at least one of the following CIVICA activities for early-stage researchers, for a minimum of 20 contact hours:

• Participation in one of the CIVICA Summer Schools.
• Participation in online courses/seminars/events offered by the alliance (digital, hybrid, or physical).
• Mentoring of Bachelor students’ educational activities as part of the CIVICA European Week (WP3) or supervision of master’s students in the framework of the CIVICA Multicampus Courses (WP4)

Please note that dedicated certificates will be issued upon successful completion of the CIVICA Teacher Development Programme and the CIVICA Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme.

Fulfilment of several options does not entitle early-stage researchers to request additional certificates. However, all training activities fulfilled will be listed on the Certificate of completion.
