Training activities for early-stage researchers
A wide range of online courses, seminars and workshops
CIVICA has made an important step forward in its efforts to enhance the quality and the scope of the doctoral and postdoctoral training, by sharing with the alliance access to a range of courses, seminars and workshops offered by the different institutions of the CIVICA alliance. Early stage researchers (ESRs) will thus be able to maximise their sets of skills whilst having a unique multicultural and transnational experience.
The opportunities can be found both in the CIVICA Course Catalogue, as well as in the dedicated ESR Course Catalogue, where you can directly register to the courses, seminars and workshops of interest.
Some of the courses listed in the catalogue are part of the CIVICA Teacher Development Programme, designed to help early-stage researchers enhance their skills and expertise as educators in higher education. Participants who complete a minimum of 16 hours of sessions will receive a Certificate of Participation.
Summer Schools
The CIVICA Summer School offers early-stage researchers from across the social sciences and the humanities the opportunity to present their research to a variety of experts in these connected fields, compare methodological approaches, and discuss the state of a rapidly-changing field with some of its leading practitioners.
Participants have the opportunity to engage in an interdisciplinary dialogue and receive feedback on their own research project and approach.
